Literary Couples

23 Oct

Here is this week’s Booking Through Thursday prompt …

“Name a favorite literary couple and tell me why they are a favorite. If you cannot choose just one, that is okay too. Name as many as you like–sometimes narrowing down a list can be extremely difficult and painful. Or maybe that’s just me.”

Okay, way too hard to choose just one, so here’s a list, in no particular order:

1. Bella and Edward – of course. The best. Who wouldn’t love a story about a girl and a vampire? I can’t get them out of my head, so they must be good.
2. Alice & Jasper, Carlisle & Esme, Rosalie & Emmett, Jacob & Renesmee – same books, more great couples.
3. Beatrice and Benedick, especially as portrayed by Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branaugh. Always loved them.
4. Elizabeth and Darcy, of course, and pretty much any other Austen couple.
5. Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione, Molly and Arthur, Tonks and Lupin.

As they say … boys in books are always better than the ones in real life.

As I read the question I knew you’d have HP characters in there somewhere!
