Ooh, pretty!!

22 Sep

Okay, so I finally finished Amy’s shawl! It was a labor of love, including working for a long long long time to finish a shawl I ended up not liking, and starting all over again with a new yarn and a new pattern. Here is a picture:

In other yarn news, I got some new yarn in the mail today! These particular skeins are for some upcoming Twilight-themed projects (based on Stephenie Meyers’ vampire series). First, my new Alice yarn:

It’s 100% silk, Baby Yeti, made in Nepal. Only the finest, very exotic, yarn for my Alice!! Here’s the label:

I’m thinking of making a neck-warmer or some other fun fuzzy thing for it.

Then, speaking of fuzzy things, I also got in my Jacob yarn today. Wolfy, isn’t it?

Check out the label … Wool in the Woods. So Jacob-y. Plus, the color is “russet,” which is exactly what color Jacob’s fur is supposed to be. I see a fuzzy scarf in a Native American-looking stitch pattern coming up!!

If you HAVEN’T read the Twilight series yet … do it!!!
