I’m hookin’ again!
Lately, being in the throes of my 3rd pregnancy, I have not felt fibery at all. It has been a strange sensation, not to crave the hook and yarn every waking moment. In fact, I have felt so brain-dead lately that the thought of concentrating on patterns and stitches has been completely un-enticing.
Never fear, though. The lovely SquibStitcher has inspired me to put hand to hook once again! Her yarn is so awesome, I realized I didn’t want to let it waste away in my stash … it called to me. Jess, make me into a gorgeous scarf, Jess, and keep me all for yourself … Hey, you weren’t there – you don’t know.
Anyhoo, I haven’t gotten too far, but this is what I’ve been up to this evening:

Vampire Swap Goodies!
This year, I participated in the Valentine Vampire Swap on Ravelry. So much fun!!! Our swap packages needed to be vampy and valentiney, but most of all just fun. Here’s all the awesome stuff Shannon sent me:
The picture quality sucks because I’m out of camera batteries, so I had to use my webcam. The angle was a little awkward. ugh.
Anyhoo, I got: a gorgeous black/white stationery set, a velvety black/white notebook, a Borders gift card, some almond soap that smells AMAZING, yummy heart candies and Blood Pops, and GORGEOUS Fresh from the Cauldron “Bella Swan” yarn!
Thanks, Shannon!!!! You rock!

Rusty Harrison or Rusty Illinois. Either way, it sounds trashy to me. I see, I’m THAT kind of dancer.

Jesizzle. I think I’d ad a hyphen, so I can be Je-sizzle. I’m like a French gangsta now.

Black Hermione or Black SpongeBob. Hmm.

Kids Say the Darndest Things … (insert evil laughter here)
Here she is, all sweet and innocent…
You’d never guess the evil that lurks within.
My in-laws are here for a visit, oh joy of joys. My kids are lovin’ it, though. Yesterday, Jillian started waxing philosophical. The conversation went something like this:
DH: Jillian, what happens after you die? (He was trying to get her to tell her story of how Jesus comes down and carries you away OR brings you back to life, depending on his mood.)
Jilly: Well, old people die and they go to Heaven.
FIL: Who do you think is going to die first?
Jilly: Grammie. She’s the oldest one. I can tell by her old hands. So she’s going to die first.
Grammie: What about Papaw?
Jilly: No, Grammie. Papaw’s not old; just you.
I did a very nice job of restraining my cackles, thankyouverymuch.

“Mr. Bright Eyes”
One of the kittens has his eyes fully open now …

Here he is, Mr. Bright Eyes!
They’re growing, too, but pretty slowly. We’re having fun with them, that’s for sure!
